Cultural norms of body type and food restriction can negatively impact well-being. Cultivating a healthy relationship with food and weight can lead to self-acceptance and freedom and ultimately a life of resilience and healthy emotional regulation. We’ll explore the HEALTHY paradigm for weight wellness: H-hunger & mindful awareness, E-enjoyment, A-assortment and variety, L-liking who you are apart from your food choices, T-three meal rhythm, H-handling fluctuations, Y- yesterday doesn’t influence my today! This 2 part short course will review each component and help the participant recognize how to cultivate this foundational approach in eating and self-acceptance of health and body weight.
